A Close Up Look at Ottica Veneta®

Since 2001, when Ottica Veneta | Eyewear from the Mountains of Italy was founded, the independent eyewear flagship – and brand – has grown to unforeseen heights and has expanded to reach a range of audiences worldwide. Every frame from each of their collections is entirely produced in Italy and sold by ECPs in brick-and-mortar retail locations.

Headquartered in the U.S., Ottica Veneta embraces an Italian aesthetic, focused on the timeless essence of the Veneto region and its history of artisan craftsmanship. Here’s a look at what the Ottica Veneta portfolio encompasses.

SOSPIRI

Inspired by the luxury of Venice, the capital city of Veneto, Sospiri® honors the work of the finest craftspeople in the industry. Each handmade design is created in limited quantities of 100 pieces per batch and features 450-885 Swarovski® brand crystals. Beyond their sparkling crystals, Sospiri frames are made with light metals, Italian Mazzuchelli acetates and unique artistic embellishments. The brand is sold to select retailers and is focused on a white glove level of customer support.

The Sospiri style Gaia is an oversized model made with thick acetate. Angled corners juxtaposed with vibrant pops of glimmering crystals define the look, which is shown here in emerald green.

OV + LAMARCA

A bold collaboration for the US market, OV + Lamarca celebrates made-in-Italy eccentric styles and features a range of finishing techniques. This innovative collection places emphasis on exciting colors and unexpected shapes.

Made with a combination of Mazzuchelli acetate sheets, OV + Lamarca’s Mosaico 148 is shown here in purple, green & tortoise.

DE LOTTO

Produced at the second-oldest eyewear factory in Italy, De Lotto is largely known for its signature temple designs, unparalleled polishing and hinge-work. The distribution of this classic, historic brand deepens Ottica Veneta’s already firm Italian roots. The revival of the brand’s 1966 “Jacqueline” has been an especially bright spot in the partnership.

Jacqueline is a limited edition De Lotto style that demonstrates the craftsmanship inherent in every Ottica Veneta frame. Shown here in black.

DANDY’S

Adding contemporary sensibility to the Ottica Veneta portfolio, Dandy’s is best known for its Rough collection. The designs in this line are made with cellulose acetate sheets that arrive unrefined and are milled and scraped by hand, which defines their ruggedness.

Dandy’s Gianni Rough shows off the hand-finishing the Rough collection is known for. Shown here in a marbled purple and brown.
